Illinois Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Job Summary
To support a growing practice, the full-time Illinois Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will assess patients' mental and physical health, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop treatment plans, and provide individual psychotherapy while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Diagnose psychiatric disorders and conduct individual psychotherapy for patients with mental health conditions
- Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications, educating patients on their risks and benefits
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and national standards of care
Required qualifications
- 2 years of experience practicing as a Nurse Practitioner
- Currently holds a Board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner license (PMHNP)
- Experience in Addiction and Mental Health
- Comfort working with patients across the lifespan (ages 13+)
- Knowledge of mental health diagnoses and/or substance abuse dual-diagnoses
