Job Summary
To support a growing practice, the full-time Illinois Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will assess patients' mental and physical health, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop treatment plans, and provide individual psychotherapy remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Assess patients' mental and physical status, diagnose psychiatric disorders, and conduct individual psychotherapy
- Prescribe psychotropic medications, monitor patient medication usage and side effects, and educate patients and families about treatment options
- Document medical histories, treatment plans, and outcomes while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and national standards of care
Required qualifications
- 2 years of experience practicing as a Nurse Practitioner
- Currently holds a Board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner license (PMHNP)
- Experience in Addiction and Mental Health, with comfort working with patients across the lifespan (ages 13+)
- Knowledge of mental health diagnoses and/or substance abuse dual-diagnoses
- Experience with electronic health records (EHRs) and timely documentation
