Illinois Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Job Summary
To support a growing mental health practice, the full-time Illinois Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will assess patients' mental and physical health, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop treatment plans, and provide psychotherapy and medication management in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Assess patients' mental and physical status, diagnose psychiatric disorders, and conduct individual psychotherapy
- Prescribe psychotropic medications, monitor usage and side effects, and educate patients and families on treatment options
- Document medical histories, treatment plans, and outcomes while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and national standards of care
Required qualifications
- 2 years of experience practicing as a Nurse Practitioner
- Current Board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner license (PMHNP)
- Experience in Addiction and Mental Health, with comfort working across the lifespan (ages 13+)
- Knowledge of mental health diagnoses and dual-diagnoses related to substance abuse
- Experience with EHRs and timely documentation practices
