Illinois Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Job Summary
To support a growing mental health practice, the full-time Illinois Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will assess patients' mental and physical health, diagnose psychiatric disorders, conduct individual psychotherapy, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, all while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Assess patients' mental and physical status, diagnosing psychiatric disorders and conducting individual psychotherapy
- Prescribe psychotropic medications, monitor usage and side effects, and educate patients on treatment options
- Document medical histories, treatment plans, and compliance with HIPAA and other regulations in the electronic health record (EHR)
Required qualifications
- 2 years of experience practicing as a Nurse Practitioner
- Currently holds a Board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner license (PMHNP)
- Experience in Addiction and Mental Health, with a focus on treating adults and patients across the lifespan
- Knowledge of mental health diagnoses and/or substance abuse dual-diagnoses
- Ability to conduct comprehensive assessments and maintain timely documentation in EHRs
