Job Summary
Responsible for minimizing the Company's state and local tax burden, the full-time remote Illinois Licensed SALT Planning Manager will identify, evaluate, and implement tax strategies while managing audits and providing research support.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and develop strategies to reduce state and local taxes across all business units
- Manage SALT audits and coordinate the appellate process
- Conduct research and prepare memoranda to support tax positions on state and local income tax returns
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Certified Public Accountant or other financial certification and/or advanced degree (JD or MST)
- 5 years of tax experience in a large publicly traded corporation, including industry and public accounting
- Proficient knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements
- Commitment to 40 hours of ongoing annual continuing professional education at the Company's expense
