Job Summary
Leading perioperative and procedural billing operations, the full-time Illinois Licensed Senior Billing Analyst will ensure accurate and timely revenue capture while collaborating with various departments to improve billing accuracy and compliance in a remote day shift role.
Key responsibilities
- Reviews and corrects system-generated charge reports to meet a 3-day billing target, assigning necessary codes and entering charges
- Collaborates with Revenue Cycle to maintain departmental work queues and ensure timely billing
- Develops and educates staff on billing regulations and workflow improvements to enhance charge capture accuracy
Required qualifications
- High School diploma (Bachelor's degree preferred)
- 5-7 years of hospital billing operations experience
- 3 years of coding experience with strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care billing regulations
- Certification required within 12 months of hire (CPC, RHIT, RHIA, or combination)
- Experience with healthcare systems such as EPIC, IDX, OACIS, or Last Word
