Key responsibilities
- Review and respond to underwriting inquiries promptly and courteously
- Mentor Junior Underwriters and assist Title Examiners with title-related questions
- Underwrite and service title insurance transactions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
Required qualifications
- Illinois underwriting experience is mandatory
- Strong background in title operations and underwriting standards
- Ability to evaluate complex risks and communicate concerns effectively
- Experience in collaborating with attorneys, escrow agents, and lenders
- Proficiency in reviewing and assessing legal documents related to title
