Illinois Licensed TeleNurse
Job Summary
To support patient care, the part-time Illinois Licensed TeleNurse will triage incoming patient calls, provide medical advice, and serve as a patient advocate while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Apply the Nursing Process to assess and triage patients via telephone
- Identify emergencies and recommend appropriate interventions, including facilitating ambulance transportation
- Document calls and maintain statistical data as required
Required qualifications
- Current Illinois RN licensure and a graduate of an accredited nursing school
- Minimum of three years of clinical experience in an acute ambulatory or acute care setting
- Experience in ER or Home Health preferred
- Basic typing skills at 40 wpm or greater
- Ability to work every other weekend and 4-5 out of 9 recognized holidays per year
