Job Summary

To support patient care remotely, the part-time Illinois Licensed TeleNurse will triage incoming patient calls, provide health advice, and facilitate appropriate interventions while demonstrating leadership and patient advocacy.

Key responsibilities

• Apply the Nursing Process to assess and triage patients effectively over the phone
• Communicate calmly and clearly to ensure callers understand health advice and recommendations
• Document patient interactions and maintain statistical data as required

Required qualifications

• Current Illinois RN licensure and graduation from an accredited school of nursing
• A minimum of three years of clinical experience in an acute ambulatory or acute care setting
• Experience in emergency room or home health settings is preferred
• Basic typing skills of 40 wpm or greater and intermediate computer skills
• Ability to work every other weekend and 4-5 out of 9 recognized holidays per year
