Job Summary

To support patient care, the full-time Illinois Licensed TeleNurse will triage incoming patient calls, provide guidance on health concerns, and serve as a patient advocate in a hybrid working environment.

Key responsibilities

• Apply the Nursing Process to assess and triage patients effectively over the phone
• Identify emergencies and recommend appropriate interventions, including facilitating transport when necessary
• Document patient interactions and maintain statistical data in accordance with established guidelines

Required qualifications

• Current Illinois RN license and graduation from an accredited nursing program
• Minimum of three years of clinical experience in an acute ambulatory or acute care setting
• Experience in emergency room or home health settings is preferred
• Basic typing skills at 40 wpm or greater and intermediate computer skills
• Ability to work every other weekend and 4-5 recognized holidays per year
