Job Summary

To enhance patient access services, the part-time Illinois Licensed TeleNurse Specialist will manage incoming calls, assist clinic customers at the first point of contact, and streamline communications while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Answer and direct incoming calls for the TeleNurse Department efficiently and accurately
• Identify and verify patient information in the EHR and Triage system, including registering new patients
• Document patient requests and route emergency calls according to established procedures

Required qualifications

• High School graduate or GED required
• Minimum of one year of medical office and/or phone experience preferred
• Proficient typing skills and knowledge of medical terminology preferred
• Intermediate computer skills and effective communication abilities
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy
