Import-Export Classification Specialist

Job Summary

To support compliance efforts, the full-time Import-Export Classification Specialist will classify products, maintain accurate records, and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Execute defined SOPs to classify products and maintain a product dictionary, ensuring accurate descriptions and tariff classifications
• Process and classify goods on import entries and export shipments, including obtaining necessary product information and identifying regulatory requirements
• Review classifications and respond to audit processes, communicating discrepancies to management and maintaining records to support compliance

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance, International Business, or a related field
• 4+ years of experience in HTS/HS product classification and export customs compliance
• 3+ years of experience in ECCN/Export Administration compliance
• Intermediate knowledge of customs brokerage functions and international logistics processes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Power BI
