Job Summary
Supporting the Chicago team remotely, the full-time Import Specialist will process customer data for international goods movement, serve as a customer service liaison, and ensure compliance with U.S. government regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the customer service liaison, resolving issues related to billing and shipment tracking
- Process Customs and Participating Government Agency entries for the clearance of goods into the United States
- Coordinate shipments and maintain communication with customers, carriers, and vendors
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous experience in customs and/or logistics
- Ability to stay up-to-date on regulations and compliance requirements
- Experience with client submission requirements and clearance of specific commodities
- Willingness to complete required courses within twelve months of employment
