Independent Review Specialist
Job Summary
To support IDR/IIDR case review processes, the Independent Review Specialist will conduct objective reviews, develop evidence-based recommendations, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards in a contingent remote position requiring flexibility for up to 10 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct objective reviews of IDR/IIDR cases involving healthcare regulatory citations
- Develop clear, concise, evidence-based written recommendations within established deadlines
- Facilitate IDR/IIDR conferences and perform accurate data entry into internal databases
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in utilization review, case management, or healthcare field required
- Experience in long-term care, assisted living, ICF/IID facilities, or related healthcare settings
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations governing healthcare facilities and services
- Background in nursing, social work, or CMS surveyor training is highly desirable
- Experience with utilization review, case management, or healthcare review processes preferred
