Indexing Specialist

Job Summary

To support efficient medical record management, the part-time Indexing Specialist will review, organize, and maintain accurate medical documents remotely, ensuring they are correctly indexed within patient records in Epic.

Key responsibilities

• Index medical documents to the appropriate folders in patient medical records following standard procedures
• Assist the Referral/Test Tracking team in closing the loop on pending orders and ensure accurate filing of test results
• Maintain knowledge of healthcare privacy regulations and communicate effectively with team members and site staff

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• 1 to 5 years of relevant experience preferred, particularly in healthcare or administrative roles
• Proficiency in MS Office or similar software preferred
• Experience with Epic or electronic medical records is preferred
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills are essential
