Indiana Financial Clearance Specialist

Job Summary

To support patient services, the full-time Financial Clearance Specialist will ensure timely financial clearance prior to services, verify insurance benefits, and manage authorizations in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Verify insurance benefits for new patients and reverify as needed due to changes
• Obtain and accurately enter authorizations for services into the EMR system
• Monitor authorizations and eligibility status to prevent revenue loss

Required qualifications

• 1-2 years of financial clearance experience in a medical practice or healthcare setting preferred
• High school diploma required
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, HIPAA, and government assistance programs
• Ability to maintain a positive attitude and customer service approach
