Indiana Licensed Billing Specialist

Job Summary

To support a growing healthcare practice, the full-time Indiana Licensed Billing Specialist will manage medical billing and revenue cycle processes, focusing on Accounts Receivable, insurance claims, denials, and timely collections in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage patient accounts throughout the medical billing and revenue cycle process, from account creation to claim submission
• Follow up on denied, unpaid, and underpaid claims, researching issues and resubmitting or appealing as needed
• Monitor AR aging reports to ensure timely collections and reduce outstanding balances

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on medical billing, Accounts Receivable, or healthcare revenue cycle experience required
• Experience with insurance claims, denials, AR aging, and payer follow-up
• Working knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS
• Experience using insurance payer portals and/or EMR systems
