Job Summary
To support patient care in a remote capacity, the part-time Indiana Licensed Hospice Physician will oversee medical management and care plans for hospice patients, provide education, and ensure compliance with hospice policies.
Key responsibilities
- Assure proper evaluation and recertification of hospice patients' terminal prognosis
- Provide medical management and oversight of care plans for hospice patients
- Educate and consult with hospice staff and community physicians on palliative care practices
Required qualifications
- Current Board Certification as a Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy in Indiana
- Experience in hospice or palliative care and/or training in end-of-life care
- Maintains controlled substances registration with state and federal authorities
- Not excluded from participating in the Medicare program
- Valid Driver's License and personal automobile insurance coverage as per state law
