Indiana Licensed Medical Director

Job Summary

To support utilization management functions, the part-time Indiana Licensed Medical Director will provide medical leadership, perform case reviews, and assist in planning quality improvement initiatives while working remotely for approximately 20 hours per week, with a focus on Thursdays and Fridays.

Key responsibilities

• Provides medical leadership for utilization management and medical review activities
• Performs case reviews and appeals for all health plans
• Assists the CMO in establishing goals and policies to improve quality and cost-effectiveness of care

Required qualifications

• Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathy, board certified in a primary care specialty or other relevant specialty
• Active Indiana state medical license without restrictions
• Previous experience within a managed care organization preferred
• Coursework in Health Administration, Health Financing, Insurance, and/or Personnel Management preferred
• Experience treating or managing care for a culturally diverse population preferred
