Job Summary
Experienced in government relations, the full-time Indiana Licensed Public Affairs Director will develop and execute lobbying strategies, monitor legislative activities, and engage with stakeholders to advocate for data center interests, with the flexibility to work from Indiana, Chicago, or Herndon, VA.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute lobbying strategies to influence local and state legislation and policies
- Track and analyze proposed bills and ordinances in Indiana, drafting policy briefs and impact reports
- Build relationships with political figures and community leaders, leading grassroots advocacy campaigns
Required qualifications
- Approximately 6 years of experience in government affairs, public affairs, or advocacy, preferably in Indiana
- Strong understanding of data centers, utility regulation, and local/state government processes
- Juris Doctor (J.D.), Master of Public Administration (MPA), or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- Deep understanding of local governance and regulatory frameworks
- Established network of contacts within the local legislative and regulatory community
