Job Summary
Supporting the underwriting process, the full-time Indiana Licensed Underwriting Coordinator will analyze applications, assess risk factors, and ensure compliance with guidelines while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Analyze and evaluate highly complex underwriting risks, preparing and presenting reports to management
- Coordinate the quoting, binding, and issuance process while maintaining accurate documentation
- Develop and maintain relationships with underwriters, producers, brokers, and reinsurers to achieve positive outcomes on complex business
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; Business Administration or Risk Management preferred
- 1+ year of related experience in underwriting or a similar role
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects
- Knowledge of insurance and underwriting principles, practices, and procedures
- Minimum requirements for state P&C and/or surplus line licenses
