Indiana Pharmacy Technician II

Job Summary

Working remotely on a full-time basis, the Indiana Pharmacy Technician II will manage data entry and review of prior authorization requests, assist providers and pharmacies with inquiries, and ensure timely resolution of escalations within the pharmacy department.

Key responsibilities:

• Review and process traditional and specialty medication prior authorization requests submitted by providers
• Communicate with providers regarding prior authorization requests, prescription coverage, and formulary issues
• Document interactions and maintain awareness of workload aging to respond with urgency

Required qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
• Three (3) years of retail or hospital pharmacy experience preferred
• One (1) year of managed care prior authorization experience preferred
• Pharmacy Technician Certification is preferred
• Ability to acquire state registration in multiple states as required
