Job Summary
Working remotely, the full-time Industrial Engineer Consultant will design, evaluate, and optimize systems for high-volume logistics and distribution operations while serving as a technical authority to improve operational efficiency and cost performance.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as a technical authority for logistics, shipping, and warehousing systems, including automated equipment and material-handling operations
- Develop complex engineering models and procedures to support equipment selection and lifecycle optimization
- Recommend and implement solutions to enhance throughput, asset uptime, safety, and cost efficiency in logistics environments
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Advanced knowledge of industrial engineering within logistics, shipping, or manufacturing environments
- Proficiency in industrial engineering systems design, analytics, and lifecycle management
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems interdependencies and their impact on operations and business performance
- Experience with CAD software and simulation tools
