Information Security Engineer

Job Summary

Focused on blue team security operations, the full-time remote Information Security Engineer II will independently monitor, triage, investigate, and respond to information security incidents while engineering, implementing, and maintaining security technologies to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of company data.

Key responsibilities

• Independently monitor and respond to security alerts and incidents, documenting activities as necessary
• Engineer, implement, and maintain information security technologies, including SIEM content and detection rules
• Collaborate with teams across the organization to enhance the security of technologies and systems

Required qualifications

• 3 or more years of experience in information security operations and/or security engineering
• Proficiency in securing Microsoft 365 security products and core infrastructure technologies
• Experience with scripting or programming languages such as PowerShell and Python
• Familiarity with security technologies including vulnerability scanning and endpoint security
• Commitment to obtaining an entry- to mid-level information security certification within the first six months of employment
