Information Security Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a senior Information Security Engineer for a short-term remote contract position, the successful candidate will maintain and enhance security posture by developing threat detections, managing incident responses, and implementing security controls across various environments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, tune, and maintain threat detections across cloud, endpoint, network, application, and container environments
• Investigate and resolve security alerts, coordinating incident response as necessary
• Design and implement security controls while improving vulnerability management and security practices in compliance with HITRUST and SOC 2 initiatives

Required qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on cloud security experience, specifically with AWS
• Senior-level security experience with minimal ramp-up time
• Experience with SIEM, EDR, MDR, and vulnerability scanning tools
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks including HITRUST, NIST, and ISO
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent experience
