Information Security Officer

Job Summary

To support various cybersecurity initiatives, the full-time remote Information Security Officer will manage compliance, risk, and controls while developing security policies and procedures, advising on security controls, and overseeing disaster recovery plans.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with assigned entities, serving as the information security point of contact
• Implement and ensure functionality of security requirements and IT policies aligned with organizational goals
• Assist in the development of cybersecurity awareness programs and advise on risk management and disaster recovery plans

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer or Cyber Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related field, or four years of relevant work experience
• Professional security certifications from recognized vendors may substitute for up to one year of experience
• Experience in developing and implementing security policies and procedures
• Proficiency in managing disaster recovery plans and audit processes
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
