Information Services Librarian

Job Summary

Providing comprehensive support for health sciences information delivery, the full-time Information Services Librarian will engage in consulting, teaching, and advising while based at Scott Memorial Library in Philadelphia with the option to work remotely up to two days per week.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver reference services and in-depth consulting to faculty, students, and clinical care providers on effective use of information resources
• Advise patrons on scholarly communication topics, including data management, copyright, and open access
• Teach information literacy and specialized classes in various modalities to support education and research initiatives

Required qualifications

• Master of Science in Information Science or ALA-Accredited MLS
• Professional library experience in a health care or health sciences setting preferred
• Knowledge of medical and health sciences terminology and literature databases preferred
• Experience with advanced literature searching techniques and systematic reviews preferred
• Three or more years of professional library experience required for Senior Librarian role
