Infrastructure Engineer I

Job Summary

To support a growing team, the remote Infrastructure Engineer I will assist in building, automating, and supporting cloud-native infrastructure within AWS, while gaining foundational skills in infrastructure engineering and cloud technologies under the guidance of senior engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain backup jobs and recovery procedures in ACT's AWS environment, responding to incidents and alerts
• Assist in building and provisioning cloud infrastructure using Terraform and automated CI/CD pipelines, while supporting patching and server administration tasks
• Identify and recommend improvements for infrastructure processes, documenting standard operating procedures and contributing to the team's knowledge base

Required qualifications

• Foundational knowledge of infrastructure, systems administration, and cloud technologies
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code concepts and tools like Terraform or Ansible
• Basic understanding of cloud computing concepts, preferably with AWS experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
