Job Summary
Responsible for the operations of secure and highly available computing platforms, the full-time remote Infrastructure Engineer II will manage the installation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the company's infrastructure while ensuring reliability and performance through monitoring, incident response, and planning for growth.
Key responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain server operating systems, networks, and related hardware, ensuring a secure systems environment
- Lead technical projects, mentor junior staff, and participate in committees focused on processes and best practices
- Develop and execute disaster recovery plans and manage vendor relationships for middleware applications
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
- 5 years of experience in an IT environment, with at least 1 year supporting multi-site, multi-platform systems
- Experience in the insurance industry is highly preferred
- Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, Office 365, RHEL, and Windows Operating Systems
- Understanding of middleware and network security tools in a multi-cloud infrastructure
