Infrastructure Security Engineer

Job Summary

Joining a remote team, the full-time Infrastructure Security Engineer will enhance the security posture of the production platform by mapping cloud infrastructure security, addressing vulnerabilities, and implementing secure defaults in infrastructure as code.

Key responsibilities

• Map the security posture of cloud and production infrastructure and document a baseline
• Identify and prioritize security gaps, collaborating with engineering to address high-risk items
• Implement security measures for identity, secrets, and network boundaries, ensuring tenant isolation and secure storage

Required qualifications

• 5+ years in security engineering, infrastructure engineering, or SRE, with a focus on infrastructure security
• Hands-on experience with major cloud providers (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerized workloads, including Kubernetes
• Proficient in infrastructure as code tools like Terraform and strong scripting skills in Go or Python
• Experience owning infrastructure security for a production platform
• Ability to articulate the business impact of security findings and prioritize remediation efforts
