Infrastructure Software Engineer

Job Summary

Owning the deployment and operation of Keycard's infrastructure, the full-time remote Infrastructure Software Engineer will manage the Bring-Your-Own-Cloud (BYOC) product, ensuring compatibility and seamless installations for customer-hosted environments.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the installation, upgrade, and support processes for Keycard in customer clouds, ensuring thorough documentation and security compliance
• Define compatibility standards for cloud environments, Kubernetes versions, and customer-specific requirements to maintain system integrity
• Develop and implement infrastructure as code solutions, enabling efficient configuration and deployment of new customer cells

Required qualifications

• Proven experience building infrastructure as software using Pulumi, Terraform, or CDK, with proficiency in Go or TypeScript
• Extensive knowledge of AWS services, particularly IAM, VPC networking, and permission boundaries
• Experience managing software deployments in customer-controlled environments, including upgrades and support
• Demonstrated ability to ship versioned releases with customer upgrade paths and support matrices
• Strong debugging skills across multiple layers of infrastructure and networking
