Job Summary
To support a growing healthcare team, the full-time Inpatient Clinical Specialist will work remotely from Washington, Oregon, Idaho, or Utah, focusing on researching and managing inpatient utilization management cases while collaborating with licensed health professionals.
Key responsibilities
- Utilize clinical knowledge to research and review inpatient utilization management requests, ensuring completeness and taking necessary actions
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate compliance with regulatory and quality standards
- Organize and maintain reference documents and contribute to continuous improvement within systems and workflows
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Clinical experience is required, with a preference for at least 2 years in an inpatient hospital setting
- CMA or CNA certification is preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and coding, including CPT, DX, and HCPCs
- Proficiency in computer skills, including experience with healthcare systems, EMRs, and documentation
