Inpatient Coder with Credentials

Job Summary

To support hospital coding needs, the full-time Inpatient Coder with Credentials will perform quality coding on inpatient accounts, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with ICD-10 PCS guidelines while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Perform quality hospital coding on inpatient accounts, including Medicare and non-Medicare cases
• Maintain knowledge of coding guidelines and ensure appropriate ICD-10/PCS codes are applied to services documented in patient charts
• Achieve and maintain a coding accuracy of 96% while meeting productivity standards

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must hold one of the following credentials: RHIA, RHIT, or CCS
• 5+ years of inpatient facility coding experience
