Inpatient Coding Manager

Job Summary

Responsible for staff management and coding inventory oversight, the full-time remote Inpatient Coding Manager will ensure departmental KPIs are met while leading a team in an academic medical center setting.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and supervise coding staff, ensuring effective training and performance monitoring
• Oversee coding inventory management and ensure compliance with billing and coding regulations
• Collaborate with management to develop new metrics and standardize reporting processes

Required qualifications

• Nine years of related experience or a Bachelor's degree plus five years of relevant experience
• Solid knowledge of revenue cycle management practices and hospital coding regulations
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to develop effective solutions for coding challenges
• Experience in leading and mentoring a coding team in a fast-paced environment
• In-depth knowledge of relevant information technology and coding systems
