Institutional Partnerships Officer

Job Summary

Managing fundraising efforts for a select portfolio of foundation donors, the full-time Institutional Partnerships Officer will develop and execute donor cultivation plans, prepare compelling proposals, and build relationships with prospective donors, while working remotely with a preference for candidates in the Washington, D.C. or New York areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Initiate and grow relationships with prospective foundation donors to secure support for EDF's mission
• Develop and execute donor cultivation plans and prepare proposals and reports in collaboration with program staff
• Utilize donor management software to monitor engagement metrics and analyze portfolio performance

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with at least six years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, preferably with foundation donors
• Exceptional writing, communication, and presentation skills
• High level of integrity and comfort with donor interactions
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and donor tracking software, preferably Salesforce
• Commitment to the mission of the Environmental Defense Fund
