Instructional Design Specialist
Job Summary
Detail-driven and mission-focused, the full-time remote Instructional Design Specialist will maintain and enhance the accuracy and accessibility of online and live programs, managing content updates and quality assurance to support constructive dialogue initiatives.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and implement revisions to live programs, coordinating with the Live Programs team for release schedules
- Draft and revise instructional content and support design projects in collaboration with Senior Curriculum Designers
- Conduct quality assurance checks on content, ensuring accessibility and a positive learner experience before release
Required qualifications
- 3+ years of professional experience in instructional design, curriculum development, or related fields
- Grounding in instructional design fundamentals, including backward design and adult learning principles
- Hands-on experience with an LMS or course-authoring tool (e.g., Canvas, Moodle, Articulate)
- Working knowledge of digital accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA, Section 508)
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong systems skills, including version control and documentation
