Instructional Designer
Job Summary
To support a large-scale learning initiative for a federal agency, the part-time contractor Instructional Designer will design engaging eLearning and virtual instructor-led training (vILT), collaborating with subject matter experts and cross-functional teams in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Design engaging, performance-focused eLearning and vILT materials
- Collaborate with SMEs to transform complex information into practical learning experiences
- Create storyboards, scripts, and assessments while managing multiple deliverables
Required qualifications
- 3+ years of instructional design and learning development experience
- Experience designing eLearning and vILT content
- Proven ability to create detailed, development-ready storyboards
- Familiarity with accessibility requirements, including Section 508 and WCAG
- Experience working as a contractor or freelancer with variable project hours
