Job Summary
Working remotely, the part-time Instructional Designer, ELA/SLA will create digital curriculum assets and contribute to product development for K-12 literacy programs, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality educational resources are delivered effectively.
Key responsibilities
- Design, storyboard, and develop digital curriculum assets such as videos, eBooks, and interactive tools through a UBD process
- Contribute to concept meetings, review manuscripts, and assist in user testing and product training for associate instructional designers
- Manage vendor relationships and workflows, ensuring adherence to project schedules and quality guidelines during the product build process
Required qualifications
- 1 - 3 years of experience in digital content development, particularly in teaching and learning materials
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Instructional Technology, Instructional Design, or a related field
- Experience with Spanish-language materials or prior teaching experience in Spanish, ESL, SLA, or dual-language settings is preferred
- Familiarity with authoring tools, learning management systems, and content management systems
- Ability to manage multiple projects within tight deadlines and budgets
