Insurance Accounts Receivable Manager

Job Summary

Leading the insurance accounts receivable operations, the full-time Insurance Accounts Receivable Manager will manage claim denials, drive root cause analysis, and develop strategies to reduce A/R while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Provide leadership and strategic direction for the insurance A/R department, overseeing billing, claims follow-up, denial management, and collections activities
• Develop and manage departmental goals and KPIs to maximize cash flow and minimize aging
• Prepare and present monthly performance reports and dashboards to senior leadership, highlighting risks and opportunities

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Finance, or a related field preferred
• 5+ years of experience in accounts receivable or financial management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role
• Experience in Insurance Accounts Receivable functions, including prior authorizations and patient estimates
• Strong understanding of payer requirements and patient financial counseling practices
• Proficiency in using revenue cycle management tools and accounting software
