Job Summary

To support a growing healthcare team, the full-time Insurance Authorization Specialist will verify patient eligibility, read clinical notes, and create authorizations as needed while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Verify patient eligibility and benefits for insurance coverage
• Read and interpret clinical notes and patient charts to determine authorization needs
• Create and manage authorizations in compliance with regulations

Required qualifications

• Minimum of two years' experience in an authorization department, insurance billing, or a similar role
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and adherence to compliance standards
• Proficient computer skills and ability to work with electronic medical records
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Effective interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and healthcare providers
