Insurance Billing Specialist

Job Summary

To support the revenue cycle, the full-time Insurance Billing Specialist will manage the timely submission and follow-up of claims to third-party payers, ensuring maximum reimbursement while working remotely from approved states.

Key responsibilities

• Submits timely and accurate claims to various insurance providers and follows up on rejected or denied claims
• Monitors accounts receivable and escalates high-dollar accounts or systemic issues to supervisors for resolution
• Collaborates with other departments to resolve claim edits, denials, and issues preventing timely reimbursement

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• One (1) year of general or medical office experience
• Experience with electronic and paper claim submissions
• Ability to analyze and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with medical billing processes and payer policies
