Job Summary
To support aggressive state and product expansion, the full-time Insurance Counsel - Forms Drafting will research statutes, draft policy forms for personal auto or property, and provide legal advice, all while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Research state statutes and translate them into compliant policy wording
- Draft complete new state and product forms packages and handle regulatory objections
- Provide legal advice on coverage interpretation and form wording to internal partners
Required qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree
- 5+ years of policy form drafting experience or related coverage interpretation experience
- Experience drafting personal lines policy forms for multiple states
- Ability to read and interpret state insurance statutes and regulations
- Proven track record of independently drafting complete forms packages from research to filing
