Insurance Credit Resolution Specialist

Job Summary

Working in a hybrid capacity from the Arlington, VA office, the full-time Insurance Credit Resolution Specialist will manage the processing of insurance-related credits, ensuring accuracy and compliance while responding to inquiries and preparing refund checks.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and review patient accounts with insurance overpayments, ensuring compliance with payer guidelines
• Reconcile account balances by applying, transferring, or refunding credits as necessary
• Process refunds for insurance companies and maintain detailed records for auditing and reporting

Required qualifications

• High School Graduate with a Medical Office training certificate or relevant experience
• 3+ years of experience in physician revenue cycle or claims management
• Experience with posting charges, claim follow-up, collections, and payment posting
• AthenaOne EMR experience preferred
• Compliance with HIPAA rules and regulations is mandatory
