Insurance Eligibility Specialist

Job Summary

Working remotely on a full-time basis, the Insurance Eligibility Specialist will ensure accurate documentation and data entry, manage patient insurance information, and communicate effectively with stakeholders to facilitate eligibility verification.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and timely documentation and data entry into the RIS system for patient insurance eligibility
• Utilize various systems to obtain and analyze patients' eligibility status with insurance companies
• Communicate with patients and stakeholders regarding insurance information and alternative payment methods

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, with 3 to 6 months of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Excellent customer service and public relations skills
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and clerical skills
• Ability to interact effectively with patients, vendors, and healthcare professionals
• Proficient in written and verbal communication
