Insurance Follow-Up Representative

Job Summary

To ensure prompt reimbursement, the part-time Insurance Follow-Up Representative will manage outstanding claims, review patient eligibility for coverage, and utilize assertive follow-up techniques while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Consistently completes accurate and timely claims submission and resubmission to appropriate parties
• Utilizes assertive follow-up techniques with payers to provide information, corrections, and problem resolution
• Takes phone calls from internal and external customers to answer questions, take payments, and resolve issues

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; associate degree preferred
• Two years of clerical experience in a health care setting required
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite required
