Insurance Follow-Up Representative

Job Summary

To support patient billing and collections, the full-time remote Insurance Follow-Up Representative will manage denials from various payers, including no authorization and eligibility denials, while leveraging experience in medical insurance accounts receivable and physician fee-for-service billing.

Key responsibilities

• Follow up with assigned payers to resolve denials and ensure timely reimbursement for services
• Research and reconcile account balances, payments, and denials, making appeals and corrections as necessary
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and internal clients, addressing billing, payment, and accounting issues

Required qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience in Medical Insurance Accounts Receivable and/or Physician Fee-for-Service Billing
• Experience writing appeal letters for payer denials
• Intermediate to Advanced skill level in Microsoft Excel
• High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge
• Knowledge of patient financial services and insurance industry processes
