Insurance Follow-Up Specialist

Job Summary

To support a growing behavioral health practice, the part-time hourly Insurance Follow-Up Specialist will manage outstanding claims, ensure timely reimbursements, and review patient eligibility for various coverage options while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Consistently complete accurate and timely claims submission and resubmission to appropriate parties
• Utilize assertive follow-up techniques with payers to provide information, corrections, and problem resolution
• Handle phone calls from internal and external customers, answering questions, taking payments, and resolving issues

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; Associate degree preferred
• Two years of clerical experience in a health care setting required
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite required
