Job Summary
Seeking a highly technical and hands-on Tech Lead/Solutions Architect in the property insurance sector, this remote contract position will oversee and evolve Insurance Underwriting Operations Systems, ensuring system stability, leading modernization initiatives, and championing process automation.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive adoption of architectural principles and provide technical guidance to teams
- Lead incident management and ensure compliance with insurance industry standards
- Collaborate with UW Operations and technical teams to translate business rules into actionable user stories
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering, system integration, or IT operations, with 2+ years in a Tech Lead or Senior Engineering role
- Solid understanding of Property & Casualty (P&C) or Life/Health underwriting lifecycles
- Proficiency in modern programming languages such as Java, C#, or Python
- Familiarity with modern underwriting platforms like Guidewire or Duck Creek is beneficial
- Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to communicate complex concepts effectively
