Insurance Specialist

Job Summary

To support a growing oncology practice, the full-time remote Insurance Specialist will manage delinquent accounts, perform collection duties, and resolve billing issues while adhering to confidentiality and regulatory guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Monitors delinquent accounts and performs collection duties
• Reviews payment postings for accuracy and resolves insurance payment and billing errors
• Contacts patients to secure past due balances and answers payment and insurance questions

Required qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum two (2) years combined medical billing and payment experience required
• Demonstrated knowledge of state, federal, and third-party claims processing required
• Must successfully complete required e-learning courses within 90 days of occupying position
• Proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) preferred
