Job Summary

Key responsibilities
- Review self-pay accounts and verify insurance coverage
- Analyze and resolve unpaid claims while contacting insurance carriers for status updates
- Communicate with patients to expedite claims and assist with special projects as needed
Required qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in insurance follow-up and denials management in a facility setting
- Knowledge of UB04/CMS 1450 and CMS 1500 claim forms, as well as EDI and medical terminology
- Complete working knowledge of billing instructions and procedures for various payer sources
- Experience with governmental and third-party denials and appeals processes
- High school diploma or equivalent; a college degree is preferred
